Biography

Aaron is a graduate from the 4th cohort of RCSI Physician Associate (PA) Studies programme that graduated in 2021. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Physician Associate Academic Award , achieving the highest grade in his class.

As a new graduate in 2021, he was successful in his application to work as a Breast and General Surgery PA in a private hospital in Cork. He worked for two years in this position and gained invaluable knowledge and skill in this speciality. In May 2023 he commenced work as a Cardiothoracic PA in CUH, a speciality which he has been very interested in for years. Additionally, he was the first PA in Ireland to take up a role in Cardiothoracic surgery. Aaron has served on the Advocacy committee and the Inaugural ISPA Conference workgroup last year and is still an active member. He is passionate about the progression of the PA role in Ireland and wants to play a part in trying to advocate for the recognition and regulation of the profession in the future.
