I graduated with the 2nd cohort of Physician Associates from RCSI. I am currently the ISPA President Elect for 2023-2024. I have been working in upper GI surgery for 4.5 years, which has absolutely flown by. My role has established over the years but I am lucky to have a variety of tasks and responsibilities including; robotic first assist and surgical assist for both major and minor cases in theatre, assessing and managing patients in our outpatient department, organising and liaising with patient in the peri-operarive phase, communicating with GPs regarding their patient’s diagnosis and plan going forward.
